DeTour Michigan

DeTour is a small town on the eastern side of the UP on Lake Huron. Hubby was excited as we had hit 3 lakes while bumming around the UP.

The campground had amazing views and was very small but beautiful, and had a cool entrance.

The campground had chairs out at the end of the dock to sit at and watch the sunset.

Some of the campers brought their own boats as there was a dock with the campground.

Now for the story of erosion. As you can see from this picture the water has come over what beach there was and is encroaching on the campsites.

We walked down this road near the campground and as you can see its very close to the water and does flood when it rains.

Erosion everywhere it seems.

I would definitely recommend DeTour for the scenery!
