It's the best shot I got of the a boat coming out of the locks at night.

So this was an interesting stop, usually we go up to Canada but that clearly isn't an option right now. This was also a last minute stop and it was a weekend soooo that didn't leave us a lot of options as to where to stay as far as campgrounds go. Fun fact it's also somewhat challenging to find a place to park Maddie, she's huge and weighs a lot and also likes good electricity. With all that in mind we show up at the campground in Sault Ste Marie. At the campground we only managed to back the bus in because people were out for the day and their trucks weren't parked so we "borrowed" their space to back in. Also it only had 30amp service and this I knew booking it, thinking that Sault Ste Marie is pretty far north and it *should* be cooler up there so we could get by with one ac unit running. I was wrong. While we did get Maddie in her spot, she was NOT happy on 30amps and it was almost 90. We could run the front ac unit and that was it. Keep in mind somethings are always running (the fridge being big one, and some house batteries but those run off battery power when the coach isn't on (it's confusing because then the batteries charge when plugged in). Anyway with one ac unit running and it being 90 it wasn't exactly cool in the coach. Also we could only run the front unit which was older, remember the new ac unit we put in? We couldn't use that one because it drew two more amps than the old one.

Looking back on it I'm pretty impressed we got Maddie in there!

Now the location was amazing (the reason why I had picked the campground). It was right near the locks so you could see and hear the boats go through. I am really glad we did go because at least we got to see a few boats. Due to the fact that the spaces were crazy tight and the electricity wasn't great we only spent one of the two nights we were supposed to there. We had briefly talked about leaving early the night before but when we woke up even hubby had decided it was time to leave (the night before he was on the fence). So while we didn't stay for the whole time we did get to see a great sunset and the ships coming out of the locks.
